Self Portraits

For our Self-Portrait project we were to take three self-portraits. They were all to be in black and white, and they were all to capture a mood of some sort. We were also challenged to be as artistic as possible, and stay as far away from normal, cliche portraits that we see on personal pages etc. as possible. One had to use the rule of thirds as the base for the composition; One had to incorporate leading lines, and one had to be taken from a more extreme angle.
All of these pictures that I took was a process kind of thing because I imagined the picture in my head before we even went out there to see what it would look like. The most difficult one was the rule of thirds picture because we couldn't get the angle that I really wanted. The most successful one was the leading lines because after we moved the position that I was in it turned out to be a great picture. I think that the most successful portrait picture that I did was the leading line picture. Next time i would try to take a better rule of thirds picture because I wasn't sure about what kind of picture I wanted to take. Overall I feel like I did a great job with the different types of pictures that I had to take or be in.
