Cropping is a trick that photographers do all the time, even if they don't realize it. Every time a photographer chooses to cut something out of his/her frame, before they snap the photo, that is in essence cropping. We also have learned tools on Photoshop that allow us to crop an image after we have taken it. When cropping in Photoshop it is possible to improve our composition or change it completely.
I changed the composition by cutting off some of the background and part of the ground so that it would look better, from my original picture. I like this one a lot better because the picture focuses more on her being on the rocks then her being at school or just somewhere else. I croped the picture by squaring what i wanted to be in the picture so that the marching ants would be around what i wanted. I also streched out the the background so that i could put my name in big letters on the side of the picture.
