Compositional Trick #2: Leading Lines

Leading lines are what lead you to the emphasis of the picture. The line also leads you through the picture and the last thing would be that the leading line takes you off into the distance. The picture won't be considered a leading line picture if there is no lines pointing at a strong emphasis. You just have to make sure that there is only one emphasis in your picture.

The leading line in my picture leads you to the Pegasus on the staircase of the school, but it also leads you all the up to the top of the stairs. The same line conects up to the pillars that takes you all around the picture.

Hey nice work with the contrast of dark, light colors and shades of gray in between. I really like the way your main leading line takes me to the emphasis yet into and out of the picture...=)
