Up on two long tree branches stands a man, with his knees bent ready to jump. His arms weaved around the branches like wings of a bird and his feet wrapped around with rope to stand on the branches that are balanced on the trunk of the tree. A strong colored white fog in the background is making everything on the ground seem like it’s fading away. The branches all over the ground make the sky seem empty because it’s so crowded. He’s not in rules of thirds but since he’s the first thing that you look at when you first see the picture that makes him the emphasis. The Guardian is the only thing or person in the sky to be noticed because of the white background. Also, since the border of the picture is a dark color that surrounds it, it pulls you into the Guardian because he’s in the white part (fog) of the picture.
His eyes make him look like he’s concentrated on his prey and he’s ready to jump to attack it. About to flap his branch wings to fly towards his destination. The background looks like an enormous forest fire happened a few days ago or a few hours ago. The Guardian might be protecting something, like if he was a Scarecrow defending the territory so that nobody or no one would interfere or enter.

Thorough description Gil, and excellent analysis. Now with your interpretation i want you to think about how it relates to your life. What is the artist expressing? He's not telling a fairytale story here, he's expressing something about real life, but doing so, symbolically. I want you to think about what it symbolizes in your own life.
